Driver / Community Health Associate - Per Diem

Per Diem Driver Needed To Pick, Deliver, And Stock Food For The Virtua Food Pantry Program

Needed for shuttling food from Berlin storage site to both Food Pantry locations in Mt. Holly and Camden.

Will be responsible for picking food from Food Pantry storage area, loading Virtua vehicle, delivering food to Food Pantry locations and stocking shelves upon arrival.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must have CDL (with passenger endorsement)

Schedule - Mondays; 8am - 12pm / Fridays: 8am - 12pm / can be flexible with 3rd day

Summary: Transports materials, patients and/or employees throughout the system in a safe and timely manner. Maintains the cleaning and maintenance schedule for the vehicle. Maintains a clean driving record and follows all New Jersey driving laws.

Position Responsibilities:

• Transports materials, patients, or employees throughout the system as directed. Maintains a good working relationship with and assists patients on and off the van as needed. Loads and unloads materials as required. Recognizes and triage any patient concerns or problems to the appropriate staff when appropriate.
• Drives the Vehicle Safely at all times, maintaining a clean driving record.
• Ability to create the best possible schedules and route for meeting department objectives.
• Performs basic office duties while waiting for patients or downtime.
• Maintains schedule for routine vehicle service and reports any vehicle malfunctions quickly to supervisor for evaluation and schedules such repair.
• Maintains a clean vehicle and inspects the vehicle daily to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working order.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required: 2 years driving experience. CDL drivers license w/ passenger endorsement

Required Education: High School degree or equivalent.

Training/Certifications/Licensure: Drivers License Abstract must meet Virtua Healths insurance carrier standards. CDL drivers license w/ passenger endorsement CPR where transporting patients. Defensive driving course preferred.

Hourly Rate: $18.85 - $28.27 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicants experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
