CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a VP of Finance (Real Estate / Hospitality industry) in Solon, OH.
Position Summary
The Senior Vice President, Finance for the company serves as the senior financial executive responsible for overseeing all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, compliance, and financial strategy across all corporate entities, and related business units. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, provides financial leadership to support operational and strategic growth, and partners with ownership on long-range planning, cash flow oversight, capital projects, and organizational development.
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute the financial strategy for the company and all subsidiary entities.
- Provide financial leadership by analyzing business performance and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Lead financial planning cycles, including budgets, forecasts, and long-term models.
- Support M&A activity, growth initiatives, capital planning, and debt restructuring.
- Own the finance seat within the EOS accountability chart at the company by establishing data-driven scorecards, aligning financial reporting with Rocks and quarterly priorities, and supporting leadership in building accountable, healthy organizational habits
Accounting Oversight
Oversee all accounting operations, including month-end closing, AP / AR, payroll support, and financial reporting.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements.Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.Drive process consistency across entities.Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Monitor daily cash flow across all entities.Oversee banking relationships, loan compliance, line of credits, and covenant monitoring.Manage cash planning for payroll, vendors, operations, and corporate obligations.Ensure timely payment of taxes and regulatory filings.Manage cash across GP and ownership entities.Monitor reserves, distributions, GP capital accounts, and intercompany flows.Maintain loan compliance (reporting)Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead development of property-level and corporate budgets.Partner with leaders to align budgets with needs.Track performance and prepare variance analyses.Develop forecasting models for revenue, labor, margins, and capital needs.Build GP budget, overhead structure, and multi-year planning models.Forecast GP cash needs, owner distributions, and liquidity.Operational Support & Internal Controls
Implement financial systems, policies, and procedures.Develop internal controls to protect assets and reduce risk.Support operational teams by providing financial insights.Ensure financial integration with HR, payroll, and procurement.Build internal controls, standard processes, and audit-quality documentation.Team Leadership
Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams.Build KPIs and accountability structures.Ensure cross-training and succession planning.Support HR with payroll and tax considerations.Tax Strategy, Compliance & Risk
Oversee corporate, payroll, local, and industry-related tax filings.Ensure multi-state compliance.Manage relationships with external auditors and legal counsel.Maintain records for insurance, contracts, and licensing.Oversee multi-state compliance of GP / ownership entitiesCoordinate with external tax advisorsStakeholder Communication
Prepare financial summaries for owners and key partners.Present financial performance and forecasts.Support ownership with investor materials and strategic planning.KPIs / Success Measures

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.CPA or MBA strongly preferred.10+ years finance leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity environments.Strong GAAP, forecasting, and multi-entity accounting skills.Development / real-estate structure experienceExperience with financial systems implementation.High integrity and accountability.Proven EOS familiarityHands-on approachOnly applicants of interest will be contacted.
