Vice President of Information Technology

Position Summary :

The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for developing, articulating, and executing a strategic IT vision that tightly aligns technology with business objectives.  In directing the operations of the IT department, this executive fosters a culture of teamwork, leads IT to pursue and achieve operational excellence, champions continuous improvement and innovation initiatives, and ensures that technology investments consistently deliver value for our business, our customers, and our employees.

As a collaborative partner with the executive team, key stakeholders, and external partners, the Vice President of IT plays a vital role in delivering effective IT solutions and services for our Company that support daily operations, maintain our competitive advantage, and enable growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in  computer  science or information technology; Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of extensive experience in information technology, with at least 5 years of senior leadership experience in IT; experience in grocery retail technology a plus
• Proven experience in IT strategic planning and policy development
• Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and practices
• Formal training in and practice of project management tools; experience in executing complex IT projects from vision through implementation
• In-depth knowledge of technology security and cyber-attack defenses
• Prior knowledge of best practices in auditing, including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI is highly desirable
• Highly proficient in contract negotiations, contract maintenance, and vendor management
• Strong business acumen and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to make decisions involving many variables.
