Faculty Position in RNA and Epigenetic Engineering and Drug Discovery

The Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute(GCCRI) of UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking an outstanding candidate (, , or , at Associate or Full Professor rank to develop a new program in RNA and DNA Editing and Epigenome Engineering. Applicants must have high quality peer-reviewed publications, evidence of an established independent research program, and an interest in focusing research in areas relevant to pediatric cancer. Applicants should have a record of competitive funding. The position offers significant scientific resources, an attractive start-up support package, and the opportunity for competing for additional state funds. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of researchers including a strong group focused on RNA biology and therapeutics, and will be expected to develop collaborative programs and serve as mentor for students and research fellows, and, in some cases, junior faculty.

The Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute is a unique specialized cancer research center focusing on basic and translational research in childhood cancer, and is housed in a state-of-the-art , sq. foot research facility on the Greehey Academic and Research Campus of UTHSA and supported by an endowment from the tobacco settlement from the State of Texas [].
