Job Description

The Caswood Group has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support a student with a tracheostomy at a local school.

We are looking for an experienced LPN comfortable working with middle school-aged children to work every school day, starting immediately through end of June. This position follows the school calendar.

Must has recent trach experience, with the last 6 months.

1 : 1 LPN Job Description is as follows :

  • 7 : 15am-3 : 15pm Monday- Friday (school days only)
  • Must ride bus with student to and from school
  • Tracheostomy care, Toileting assist
  • Competitive Pay

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of four years' experience as a LPN
  • Recent trach care experience
  • Experience working with students with emotional or physical disabilities
  • Current NYS Nursing License, Active and in good standing
  • Meets professional nursing standards and pertinent local, state, and federal requirements
  • Federal background check, Drug screen, Agility test, Physical statement / annual health update, MMR & PPD
  • Strong clinical communication Skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping
  • Physical Requirements
  • Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from work
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently move equipment without assistance. Must be able to sustain prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting. Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions, such as, possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
