Tester Technician

What challenges can you expect?

• You perform testing and troubleshooting on substation apparatus and power transformers equivalent to NETA Level 2 or NETA level 3 testing capability.
• You support verification of alarms, system protection schemes, and control wiring
• You follow OEM, utility, and end‑user testing specifications
• You document test results accurately and prepare customer reports
• You work safely with industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles
• You follow all safety and environmental protocols

What do we expect from you?

• You bring 3–5 years of experience in electrical testing or field services, ideally with substation or transformer testing
• You can read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail and safe work habits
• You use Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools with confidence
• You hold a high school diploma or GED
• You have a valid driver’s license and can pass background and drug testing
• You are willing to travel up to approx. 80% across the U.S., including weekends and holidays
• You communicate effectively in English for documentation and safety‑critical tasks

Nice to have:

• You have experience with substation apparatus or transformer maintenance
• You are familiar with electronic test software
• You have experience mentoring or guiding field crews
• You have experience preparing OEM or utility testing documents
• You hold a Class A CDL
