SCHEDULE : Full time, 12-month position

• During the school calendar year, the hours are 1 : 30-9 : 00 pm
• During school breaks, the shifts will vary 9 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm and / or 10 : 30 am-6 : 00 pm
• During school half days the hour are 11 am -7 pm
• During summer months, the shifts will vary 8 : 30 am-4 : 00 pm and / or 10 : 00 am-5 : 30 pm

PAY RATE : $20-$23 per hour

OVERVIEW :

The Social Learning Specialist (SLS) is part of a R-Center, support services team. The SLS works to create a youth / family / faculty -friendly presence within the R-Centers that is founded on cooperative relationships and direct communication. They are able to provide the full continuum of care; specific areas of focus are prevention education, social / emotional support services and immediate crisis response. They will also deliver a variety of best-practice and research-based services (i.e., groups, workshops, curricula), as needed, with a focus on the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS). They also provide access to additional resources from The Center for Youth. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

QUALIFICATIONS :

A Bachelors Degree in a Human Service or related field AND 1-3 years of related experience OR equivalent combination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Candidates must be able to be autonomously mobile in order to provide the required services.

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :

Microsoft Office - Basic skill level
