Job Description:
The Outside Sales Engineer - Air Distribution role is responsible for the design, configuration, operation, and pricing of building controls systems, including heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design heating and cooling systems and their controls
• Make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power various equipment must use to heat and cool spaces when needed
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects
• Calculate ventilation requirements based on the types of systems needed
• Determine costs for heating and cooling systems and write up detailed budget estimates
• Review drawings and answer technical questions for customers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills
• Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
• Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery
