A company is looking for a Statutory Controller with expertise in Life Insurance accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and finalize NAIC statutory financial statements, including the Life Insurance Blue Book

Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory examiners, supporting statutory audits and inquiries

Review statutory financial results for reasonableness and identify opportunities for process improvement

Required Qualifications

8-12+ years of experience in statutory accounting within Life Insurance

Hands-on experience preparing and / or reviewing the NAIC Life Insurance Blue Book

Strong knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and NAIC reporting requirements

Experience working with actuarial teams on reserves and statutory disclosures

Prior experience supporting statutory audits and regulatory exams
