Job DescriptionThis position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College. Instructors may be required to develop customized training curriculum and / or provide instruction for workforce development and industrial training clients.

Essential Functions

Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.

Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.

Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.

Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.

Education / Experience / Knowledge / Skills

Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Texas required and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).

Additional certifications-such as Radiology, Infection Control, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, or Sealant Application-are preferred.

Three years related experience relevant to subject needs.

Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in Dental Assisting, including chairside assisting, dental radiography, infection control, sterilization procedures, dental materials, four-handed dentistry, patient communication, and clinical workflow. Additional expertise in related healthcare or technical areas-such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, phlebotomy, safety and compliance, electronic health records, sterilization systems, or other specialized skill sets-may also be considered as appropriate based on client demand and program needs.

This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
