Do you have AWS experience, and are you seeking a new, fully remote contract role? Horizontal Talent is working with a collaborative company to recruit a Senior AWS Database Developer for a six-month contract, and the role comes with an attractive pay rate for your expertise.

In this Senior AWS Database Developer role, you will be a key contributor to accelerating our client's on-premises Oracle database-based financial reporting tool to the AWS Cloud. You will also have expertise in AWS data services, database migration, and implementing cloud-native architectures.

To give you an idea of how this Cloud Database Developer role would look and feel, here are some areas you can expect to work in :

• Evaluate current end-state cloud-native data architecture and propose any applicable optimization recommendations
• Implement the migration of a large-scale Oracle database to AWS Aurora, Redshift, R3 Spectrum, S3, Athena, and Glue as part of the cloud-native data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, cost-effectiveness, and security
• Collaborate closely with closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the data migration strategies and execute the migration plan efficiently
• Mentor and upskill current team members in AWS cloud database technologies and best practices
