Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology System Implementation Lead to drive the contracting and implementation of a new Radiation Oncology System. This role will lead vendor partnerships, oversee system evaluation, and ensure successful integration across a complex healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead System Selection & Implementation :

Manage the full lifecycle of the Radiation Oncology System implementation, from vendor selection to go-live.

Oversee RFP comparison and evaluation of existing systems (Elekta Mosaiq, Varian, RayStation, RayCare) to ensure optimal solution selection.

Ensure cloud-based system capabilities align with organizational requirements.

Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation :

Drive vendor partnerships and lead contract negotiations.

Maintain relationships with multiple vendors while ensuring compliance and performance.

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement :

Present project updates and recommendations to governance boards.

Collaborate with internal PMs (clinical and technical) and external vendors to align on timelines and deliverables.

Integration & Interoperability :

Coordinate system integration with Epic and other clinical systems.

Ensure continuity of legacy systems during transition (Elekta, Varian).

Compliance & Regulatory :

Navigate state government processes and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Domain Expertise :

Strong understanding of radiation oncology workflows and systems.

Familiarity with Elekta Mosaiq, Varian, RayStation, and cloud-based oncology solutions.

Project Leadership :

Proven experience leading large-scale healthcare technology implementations.

Ability to manage multi-year projects with complex stakeholder environments.

Vendor & Contract Management :

Expertise in RFP processes and contract negotiations.

Technical Knowledge :

Experience with system integration and interoperability (Epic interface preferred).

Regulatory Experience :

Background in working with state government processes and compliance requirements.

Soft Skills :

Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.

Additional Details :

Reports directly to Pam (Project Sponsor).

One-step interview process with Pam and potentially a member of the Radiation Oncology team.

Remote role with potential travel for site visits.

Radiation Oncology Systems Expertise - Elekta Mosaiq, Varian, and / or RayCare / RayStation, including cloud-hosted solutions.

Large-Scale Healthcare IT Implementations - Proven track record leading multi-year projects, including vendor selection and system integration (Epic preferred).

Vendor Management & Contract Negotiation - Strong experience driving RFP processes, vendor partnerships, and contract execution.

Executive-Level Communication & Governance - Skilled in presenting to governance boards and aligning stakeholders across clinical and technical teams.

Soft Skills & Working Style

• Assertive but tactful; cannot require handholding.
• Able to operate independently and drive work forward.
• Similar profile to our former that was on this team (experienced, polished, self directed). However less expensive.

• The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00 / hr.
