Sales Intern

Virginia Green is currently seeking a paid Sales Support intern in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate is entering their junior or senior year and is a sales, communications, or marketing major / minor. The intern can expect to be involved in selling additional services and generating new customers.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Collect accurate data via incoming calls / emails from potential customers for distribution to inside Sales Representatives in a timely manner.
  • Verify that all data entered is accurate on each estimate and / or sale.
  • Become a highly functional user of HubSpot to assist the sales team in managing the process of converting leads into sales.
  • Assist in customer retention / lead generation.
  • Linking electronic documents to all leads / sold accounts. Including square footage and special instruction for each account daily.
  • Identify lead opportunities utilizing Real Green (CRM), or any other lead generating source.
  • Alert Production Department of any changes affecting current / upcoming lawn care services.
  • Document changes to account for all leads / current customers pertaining to changes in contact information, changes in service, cancellations etc.
  • Provides exceptional level of customer service and adhere to Virginia Green's Sales Process.

Required Qualifications / Attributes :

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

    • Education and Experience :

  • Must be a college student in good standing : Sales, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications majors preferred

    • Minimum Physical Requirements :

  • Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
  • Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
