Position Overview

As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychological testing and assessment services to adults and the elderly in long-term care environments. Your efforts will contribute to precise diagnostics, cognitive evaluations, and actionable recommendations that drive effective treatment planning and care decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Psychological Testing & Assessment
• Administer standardized assessments including cognitive, emotional, and personality evaluations.
• Create integrated diagnostic reports that synthesize testing data and clinical interviews.
• Deliver clear, actionable recommendations for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Conduct assessments of cognitive capacity and functional impairment.
• Uphold ethical testing practices and professional assessment standards.
• Clinical Services
• Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations and mental status assessments.
• Provide tailored individual psychotherapy for older adults with complex needs.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions and caregiver support.
• Lead group therapy sessions when appropriate.
• Offer behavioral management interventions to residents and facility staff.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Work closely with nursing staff, social workers, physicians, and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to review care plans.
• Consult with facility leadership on behavioral strategies.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Timely documentation using our Geriatric Notes Tool (GNT).
• Maintaining accurate clinical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to state laws and ethical guidelines.
• Partnership with Facilities
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with facility personnel.
• Exemplify professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
• Ensure strong communication for effective care delivery.
