In this hands-on technical role, you’ll perform testing, calibration, assembly, and repair work inside a certified ISO17025 manufacturing and calibration facility. Your expertise will help deliver industry‑leading equipment and keep it performing at its best.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to product excellence by assembling and testing electronic components and sub‑assemblies.
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting using schematics, test procedures, drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Repair and calibrate customer‑owned units with precision and care.
- Identify nonconformities and take action to uphold high product quality standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally across teams and departments.
- Follow all ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
- Maintain fixtures and perform preventive, corrective, and calibration maintenance.
- Help train new team members and support cross‑functional development.
- Set up and evaluate circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Document test results thoroughly and accurately.
- Serve as a technical liaison with other departments when needed.
- Travel up to 25% during the first 3–6 months for training, with occasional light travel thereafter.
- Work collaboratively with team members and make quality‑focused decisions that benefit customers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Fort Collins, CO
- Fast‑paced, dynamic production floor with typical manufacturing noise levels.
- Work performed in a controlled calibration lab with strict standards and environmental requirements.
- Repetitive tasks involving precision electronic assembly and testing equipment.
- Overtime may be required during periods of increased production demand.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.
- Soldering experience (strongly preferred).
- Hands‑on electro‑mechanical assembly ability.
- Skill in identifying components and reading technical documentation and schematics.
- Solid basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with SAP or willingness to learn.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience testing electrical circuits and assemblies is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electro‑mechanical testing and circuit analysis.
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and strong teamwork in a fast‑changing environment.
EDUCATION:
- AAS in Electronics Technology, a related technical certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $20 to $32 per hour.
