Business Analyst

One of the Maryland's largest gas and electric utility.

Job Description

Accountability

  • Monitor and coordinate activities to manage preventative maintenance workload / financials and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operations business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform analysis of the operations cost elements to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive and detailed reports.
  • Develop, organize and present detailed performance reports for both internal and external use.
  • May develop, implement, evaluate or lead projects or initiatives (e. g., business plan or process improvement initiatives related to financials)
  • Provide broad analytical support to the business unit.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in a business-related field
  • Minimum 1 3 years of experience in a business related position
  • Thorough computer-based analytical skill (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Hyperion, database management)
  • Expertise in PeopleSoft and financial systems preferred
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Ability to use spreadsheet applications and learn other specialized software products
  • Ability to work closely with peers in a teamwork environment
