• NOTE : COVID -19 Vaccinations are recommended Position Description The Medical Assistant I at Honor Community Health (HCH) is an essential part of our high-performing healthcare team.
• This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations.
• The MA I provide direct and indirect patient care while assisting clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care.
• The MA I is also responsible for completing general office duties and patient records, as well as monitoring various clinical processes.
• To excel in this position, the Medical Assistant should prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships both within HCH's centers and with the administrative team.
• Working closely with colleagues will foster a culture of excellence and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to residents and the community.  What are we looking for?
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Certified Medical Assistant preferred Must maintain BLS Certification through the American Heart Association. 3+ months in a similar clinical position is required.
• Strong computer skills and experience using Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred)and knowledge of Microsoft Office.  A compassionate and positive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  Ability to create an excellent patient experience Patient focused mindset Must be willing to work between other locations when needed What do we Offer?
