About the Role

Reliance One is seeking a Support Engineer USA to join our clients growing industrial automation team in Troy, Michigan. As a Support Engineer , youll work within the industrial automation, battery assembly, and battery & component testing fieldshelping drive innovation and excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role offers the opportunity for travel and training in South Africa, along with significant professional and personal growth potential.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Remote application engineering (PLC, HMI, and Robot Software Development).
• On-site commissioning of facilities in the USA when projects dont justify sending someone from South Africa.
• After-sales technical support, with a primary focus on industrial application engineering, but also electrical or mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
• On-site commissioning and support of End-of-Line Testing systems.
• Act as the supporting point of contact between the South African project team and USA-based activities.
• Conduct site surveys, collect project information, champion customer design reviews, and provide project status updates.
• Supervise and manage installation teams and subcontractors during facility installation and commissioning.
• Develop the USA supplier base for competence, strategic fit, delivery, and quality.

Training

All activities will be supported by management and engineering teams in the USA and South Africa.
