Pipe Layer (civil construction)

The current project they are seeking someone for is located in Oceanside, CA. Duties & Responsibilities

• Pipe laying
• Install, assemble, and repair pipes and fittings, including ductile iron pipe.
• This may involve:
  • Preparing the area for pipe laying by grading and trenching
  • Assisting equipment operators in placing pipes
  • Using hand tools to backfill around pipes
  • Using pipe lasers and transits
  • Joining pipes using bolts, screws, fittings, solder, and plastic solvent cement
  • Testing pipes for leaks
  • Manufacturing
  • Prepare the plant for production by performing a variety of tasks, including: Cleaning raw and waste materials,Skimming molten iron,Adding raw materials to ladles,Rolling pipe down conveyors,Operating mobile equipment,Cleaning work areas,Stacking timbers on pipe,Monitoring pipe ovens,Patching ladles
