About the Position

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified General Surgery MD in Tennessee!

We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in Tennessee starting Jan 3, 2026. This opportunity offers a 24-hour call schedule with a contract length of 11 days. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality surgical coverage and ensure continuity of care during the assignment.

  • Schedule : 24-hour call, 7a-7a

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general surgical coverage while on 24-hour call
  • Respond promptly to surgical consults and emergencies
  • Perform procedures and interventions as required for general surgery cases
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities

    • Additional Information

  • Tennessee medical license required
  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • Must have active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prior experience in similar call-based surgical roles preferred
