Key Responsibilities
Clinical InstructionServe as a Clinical Instructor overseeing clinical rotations in hospitals and healthcare facilities
Work 12-hour clinical shifts starting at 5:45 AM or 6:15 AM with flexible scheduling options
Maintain a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio for high-quality, individualized training
Function as a Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor delivering core nursing fundamentals and advanced clinical skills in live patient care settings
Guide students in patient care activities including bathing, IV therapy, medication administration, documentation, and patient assessments
Model professional nursing standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based clinical practices
Act as a Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor facilitating 15-week courses for Practical Nursing (PN) and nursing degree students
Teach essential topics such as nursing fundamentals, health assessment, clinical reasoning, and patient-centered care
Serve as a Clinical Instructor responsible for lesson planning, instructional delivery, and student engagement
Proctor exams, skills check-offs, and competency-based assessments
Provide academic feedback, mentoring, and performance evaluations to support student success
Required Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a 2-year BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Licensure: Active New York State RN license in good standing
Certifications: Current CPR Certification
Compliance:
Up-to-date COVID vaccination
Background check and drug screening (CastleBranch)
Experience:
Clinical nursing experience required
Infusion experience required for infusion visits
Prior teaching, precepting, or instructional experience preferred
Ability to perform effectively as both a Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor and Clinical Instructor in diverse learning environments
Schedule & Flexibility
Clinical Schedule:
12-hour shifts (day or evening) starting at 5:45 AM or 6:15 AM
Classroom Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9-hour days
New class terms beginning in January
