Mechanical Specialist

Position Summary :

We are currently seeking a Rotating Equipment / Mechanical Equipment Specialist who will be based out of Deer Park, TX. This position will report to the West HyCO Maintenance / TAR Manager and will work with the HyCO Maintenance, Reliability and operations teams to achieve strategic and tactical reliability goals for rotating equipment in Praxair's Hydrogen / Carbon Monoxide (HyCO) facilities. Primary locations are in Southeast TX, Southern Louisiana, Chicago and Northeastern US.

The overall objective of the Mechanical Specialist is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment at production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. The Mechanical Specialist will be responsible for the planning and execution of major overhauls and repairs of rotating mechanical equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in major troubleshooting and assisting reliability group in the analysis of predictive information supplied by maintenance technicians. This person will be expected to work with site teams and independently, making technical decisions and recommendations in the field.

Essential Functions :

• Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute major equipment installations, maintenance overhauls and inspections - including corrective, preventative or working with reliability group on predictive work of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment systems including :

Centrifugal, Reciprocating and Screw Compressors
