PHP (PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM)

SBHS has a PRN opportunity for a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): The BHT is a member of the PHP/IOP interdisciplinary team who assists in total consumer care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches. The BHT provides direct care and therapeutic support to children and adolescents admitted to the SBHS PHP and IOP programs. Under the daily supervision of the JCC Behavior Intervention Coordinator and the administrative supervision of the Director of PHP, IOP and OP Therapy Services, the Registry BHT helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that promotes emotional regulation, skill-building, and sustained level of functioning consistent with each patient’s or client’s unique ability and capacity. The PHP/IOP Registry BHT works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized treatment goals and ensures the highest standard of care, with careful attention to UHS and SBHS commitments to Service Excellence and Trauma Informed Care. This position also maintains a safe, therapeutic milieu by consistently and respectfully supporting and reinforcing program structure, schedules, and content while demonstrating proper and effective use of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), with emphasis on effective and frequent use of verbal de-escalation strategies, resulting in minimal application of physical CPI interventions. The PHP/IOP Registry BHT serves as the transportation attendant (does not drive), when core transportation staff are not available. This is a Registry/PRN position utilized on an "as-needed" basis.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent REQUIRED, Bachelor's Degree in related mental health field is highly preferred.
