Security Officer - Flex Loss Prevention

As a Security Officer - Flex Loss Prevention in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, staying visible to support a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service through positive interactions and clear communication. Pay Rate : $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSun 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What Youll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to site management and / or Allied Universal as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while performing assigned duties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
