Christopher McRay Farmers Insurance in Jenison, Michigan, is looking for a dedicated, driven individual to join our growing team as a Full-Time Agency Producer . No previous experience? No problem!

If you have proven experience selling in another industry, plus great customer service skills, and are ready to learn and grow, we can teach you everything you need to know about the industry. If you are looking for the chance to learn new skills and grow your career, this may be the role for you. Entry-level applicants will begin with a $31,000 base salary and an opportunity to earn additional compensation during their first year.

Are you an experienced Agency Producer? Amazing!

Experienced applicants start with a $36,000 base salary and top performers earned an additional $20,000 in commission last year. You will also benefit from additional training and development opportunities, making this a great opportunity to transfer your skills and grow your career. Responsibilities

1. Conducting Client Needs Assessments

  • Meet with prospects to understand their insurance needs, risk exposure, and financial goals.
  • Recommend appropriate insurance products based on these assessments.

2. Selling and Issuing Policies

  • Present product options, explain coverage, and guide clients through the application process.
  • Complete quotes, submit applications, and ensure policies are issued accurately.

    • 3. Maintaining Compliance and Continuing Education

  • Learn and follow state insurance regulations, carrier guidelines, and agency policies.
  • Complete required continuing education and carrier product trainings.

    • 4. Building and Managing Client Relationships

  • Handle client questions, resolve service issues, and conduct policy reviews.
  • Work to retain clients through follow-ups, renewal reminders, and excellent customer service.

    • Requirements

  • A Property & Casualty insurance license is required. Or be willing to obtain one.
  • Licensing Assistance available
  • No insurance experience required but must be willing to learn
  • Great Customer Service Skills.
  • Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Driven and goal-oriented individual.
  • Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations.
