Minimum Qualifications Possession of provisional Louisiana dietitian/nutritionist license.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
- Calculates, writes, adapts, and modifies diets or menus to meet individual needs.
- Counsels and teaches patients and their families the practical and technical aspects for the diet as it relates to the particular patient's health problem.
- Supervises subordinates in the production of meals and service, sanitation and storage.
- Assesses and plans nutritional development of a caseload of approximately 90 intellectually disabled individuals.
- Consults and collaborates with physicians and other professionals regarding individual needs to ensure best quality of life.
- Provides medical nutritional therapy for those individuals with acute and chronic nutritional problems.
- Does monthly weight analysis and determines potential risk factors and makes diet recommendations.
- Completes a monthly progress note for all assigned individuals and a yearly in depth assessment, including pertinent lab value, food and medication interactions
