Job Description : 9 month Contract role

Intermediate IT Support Technician – 4 years of IT Support including Hardware required.

Monday through Friday – 8 am to 5 pm – South Central Austin location

Benefits offered through Yoh Services

Contract role - PTO, holiday and vacation time not included as a contractor

$28.50 per hour

This is a W2 role and no C2C recruiters please.  We do not work with outside staffing agencies.

General Overview :

Provides second- and third-tier technical computer support, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software. Supports IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based software. Provides audio / visual support and operations at board functions, community events, customer meetings, and town hall meetings. Participates in testing and evaluation of new hardware and software. Supports a mobile workforce, documents solutions to problems, and develops end-user guidelines. Works independently with moderate guidance from supervisors or senior colleagues. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate computer hardware, software, and peripheral setups, installations, and configurations (e.g., monitors, keyboards, scanners, disk drives).
  • Diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot networking problems.
  • Provide desktop imaging and system updates.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support printers and audio / visual equipment.
  • Deliver technical support for audio / visual operations during board meetings, committee meetings, and other executive-level events.
  • Coordinate audio / visual presentations for meetings and events.
  • Respond to incidents related to computer operations and apply troubleshooting principles to resolve hardware, software, and user issues.
  • Update problem tracking systems and communicate status to supervisors and users via email, voicemail, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, air-cards, VPN, and serial communications.
  • Perform hardware asset inventory control procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve complex computer and network connectivity problems.
  • Consult on hardware and software selection to meet business requirements and assist in asset maintenance.
  • Serve as a technical resource on project teams.
  • Travel independently or with a small crew to various locations (e.g., substations, power plants, water systems, meeting facilities) as scheduled.
