Are you a dedicated General Medicine Physician seeking flexible, impactful work serving Veterans while maintaining your clinical expertise? We are looking for committed professionals to provide vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Kentucky, supporting our nation's heroes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a PRN basis with competitive pay and meaningful contribution, all within your own practice setting.

As a Locum Physician, you will perform interview-based assessments and some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, focusing solely on evaluations without prescribing or treatment. Your expertise will help ensure Veterans receive the care and benefits they deserve, while benefiting from a flexible schedule that fits your other commitments.

Required Skills:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active Kentucky medical license
• Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine experience
• Proven experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to perform physical assessments and interviews effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete reports accurately and efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with VA or government-related assessments
• Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission
• Ability to work independently and manage scheduling within your own practice

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
• Prior experience conducting compensation and pension exams is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY, with the ability to conduct exams locally
• Reliable internet and computer for report submission
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and administrative follow-up
• Must be local candidates, travel is included in pay rates
• Certification in relevant specialties and compliance with all licensing requirements

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly/Per-Shift Pay:
  Half-day (4 hours or less): $800 flat rate
  Full-day (5 hours or more): $1,600 flat rate
• One-Time Bonus: $650 upon completing all required training and initial exams
• Weekly pay via direct deposit
• Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2)

• Reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses
