Role Description

This is an internship role for a Sports Writer. The Sports Writer will be responsible for writing football-related content, conducting player and team analyses, and engaging in storytelling. Day-to-day tasks will include researching football news, interviewing players and coaches, and collaborating with the editorial team. This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, with work from home allowed.

Qualifications

Sports Writing and Football knowledge

Writing and Communication skills

Journalism background or education prefered

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Strong interest and passion for football / soccer

Experience with content management systems is a plus

Pursuing or holding a degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
