Electrician Position at Detroit Arsenal

PCSI is looking for an electrician at its Detroit Arsenal site. We seek a motivated and friendly team member to provide electrical installation, maintenance, and repair services for the facility's electrical system. The right person will be proactive and take pride in their accomplishments. This position will report to the lead electrician at Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. Shift : 7 : 30 am 4 : 00 pm Monday Friday. This position is a union position that starts at $51.02, with annual increases, full benefits, paid federal holidays, and health & welfare.

Primary Job Functions

• Must have experience in installation, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and devices located within the facilities.
• Installs, inspects, adjusts, tests, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels, and outlet boxes, and a wide variety of electrical fixtures.
• Electrical equipment that will require maintenance and repair includes electrical switch boxes, lighting circuits, branch and transfer circuits, HVAC fans and switches, fire alarm systems, rheostats, and related shop equipment.
• Will be required to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit, inserts, splicing, and connecting wire to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles, and power sources.
• The electrician will be responsible for all assigned preventive maintenance work orders assigned by the PM Manager.
• Assists in the accomplishment of minor building maintenance tasks, which must be performed to proficiency.
• On-call for after-hours emergency calls.

Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors. Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
