Director of Accounting - Shared Services

Salary : $145,000-$165,000 + Bonus

Location : San Antonio, TX (Relocation available)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and lead the Shared Services Finance organization-centralizing AR, AP & Project Accounting.
  • Standardize financial processes, policies, and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee invoicing, cash application, collections, vendor payments, and compliance.
  • Manage project accounting : job costing, WIP analysis, billing coordination, and profitability tracking.
  • Drive automation via ERP / BI tools and ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing, customer-focused accounting team.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's in Accounting / Finance (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years in accounting / finance with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience building or leading Shared Services organizations.
  • Expertise in GAAP, project-based accounting, ERP / BI (Deltek or OneStream preferred), and advanced Excel.
  • Strong leadership, process-improvement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
