What will you be doing?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop, maintain, and improve installation and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals for our products. This role works closely with engineering, design, and project teams to translate technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technical drawings, structured content, and modern tools-including AI-to efficiently manage and generate documentation.
Some of your day-to-day tasks?
Maintain and update existing installation and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals to reflect product changes, field feedback, and best practicesCreate new installation and O&M manuals for new products, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistencyDevelop technical illustrations and diagrams using CAD or CAD-derived tools to support written instructionsGather information from engineering, design, manufacturing, and field personnel to ensure documentation is technically accurate and completeOrganize and structure content for ease of use by installers, technicians, and end usersEnsure documentation complies with internal standards, branding, and applicable codes or regulationsManage document revisions, version control, and release processesUse AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency in drafting, updating, and maintaining documentation, while ensuring technical accuracy and qualityContinuously improve documentation processes, templates, and style guidesWhat do you need to be able to do?
Required Qualifications
Experience writing technical documentation, instruction manuals, or O&M manualsStrong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise instructionsFamiliarity with CAD software and the ability to generate or modify technical illustrationsExcellent written communication skills and strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience creating installation or service manuals for engineered or manufactured productsWorking knowledge of CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)Experience using AI tools to assist with content generation, editing, or document managementFamiliarity with document control, revision tracking, and structured documentation systemsAbility to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and technical subject-matter expertsKey Skills & Attributes
