Medical Business Office AR Generalist / Payment Poster

Oregon Urology Institute has a Full-Time, Medical Business Office Representative opportunity available.

Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.

The Medical Business Office AR Generalist / Payment Poster provides support and coordination for the Business Office. The job duties / responsibilities include the Posting of electronic and paper insurance payments, assisting patients with their account(s) through our Portal, Telephone inquiries and In-Person at our Business Office Window. Provides account receivable assistance as assigned by Supervisor.

Duties :

• Answering Patient Questions regarding their account via Portal, Phone, and in-person.
• Payment Posting responsibilities for both paper and electronic payments.
• Provides Back up for Collection of Hospital Charges and locating missing encounters.
• Accounts Receivable Follow up and Work Patient Accounts >

120 Days.

Position Requirements :

Must have the ability to research outstanding AR along with analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) to post payments and contractual adjustments accurately. Confidentiality, knowledge of insurance reimbursement coding from payment EOB's, knowledge of OUI financial policies,10 key, medical office experience, skills in operating a computer and photocopy / scanning technology. Must be proficient in English.

All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference, and background checks in order to be considered for employment.

Experience : Medical Business Office & Payment Posting history. Athena Practice experience preferred.

Education : Equivalent of a high school diploma.
