Fraud Analyst
Large Financial Client
Location : Tempe, AZ or Fort Mill, SC
Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 Remote

Hourly Rate Range : 20-25 / HR
Fraud Detection & Mitigation Team
Front-line team focused on detecting and mitigating fraud.
Collaborates with financial advisors to manage fraud events that have occurred and proactively detect potential fraud.
Operates as an actionable team on the first line of defense.
Works with external bank partners and internal operations to gather and remove fraudulent information.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage alerts generated in a queue (~100 alerts / day).
- Alerts are based on risk indicators, often tied to online transactions or geographic anomalies (e.g., miles from client's address).
- Daily assigned workload.
- Performance graded on decision quality and alert handling.
- Must meet SLA of 24 hours for alert resolution.
- Assigned a set volume of alerts.
Ideal Background
Experience in financial crimes and fraud analysis.Not an AML role no SAR filing involved.Focused purely on fraud detection.Narrower scope compared to broader AML roles.Additional Qualifications
Financial operations experience is acceptable (e.g., understanding ACH, wires).Must be a self-starter with root cause analysis skills.Independent work style must identify root causes of queued alerts.Familiarity with Lexis Nexis is a plus (though all systems are internal).Ability to uncover and sift through data data analysis skills are beneficial.
