Facilities Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Property Management Team with all physical facilities needs.
• Responsible to know where all shut-off valves electrical rooms and fire / life safety rooms are and maintains a log of each location for easy emergency access.
• Perform routine / preventative maintenance on HVAC fire / life safety plumbing elevator and electrical systems.
• Respond to security and safety issues ensuring all annual requirements are met.
• Comfortable with remote technology strong time management skills and ability to perform duties without on-site instruction.
• Perform documented property inspections to prevent risk management issues.
• Diagnose problems and repairs. Directly perform minor repairs in the areas of carpentry plumbing appliances HVAC electrical roofing painting etc.
• Track property inventory of equipment and supplies
• HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Air filter changing and coil cleaning.
• Electrical re-lamping ballast replacement and breaker reset.
• Roof perform regular inspections to keep the roof clear of debris and drains open.
• Maintain the structural integrity of the building by inspecting foundation walls and roof.
• Ability and knowledge to communicate with vendors tenants and supervisors.
• Incorporates safety protocols while performing all job duties.
• Ensure property is safe and cleared during bad weather events.
• Evaluate new maintenance techniques for possible time or money savings.
• Ability to answer emergency calls during non-work hours.
