Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home health experience and proficiency in OASIS and HCHB for a day-shift travel assignment in Orange County.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Home health setting providing occupational therapy services
  • Day shift position, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
  • Patient caseload averages 5–7 geriatric patients per day
  • Productivity expectation of a minimum of 30 points per week
  • No on-call required for this role
  • Territory may cover up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
  • Travel pairs accepted but each therapist will have their own territory
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • EMR system used is Homecare Homebase (HCHB), proficiency required
  • iPad provided for work tasks
  • Responsible for providing therapy visits and managing documentation using an iPad
  • Must wear scrubs; any color is acceptable except jeans
  • Flexibility required in covering assigned territory
  • Must be comfortable working independently within a mobile health care environment
  • Completion of Hospice / Home Health Checklist is required for consideration
  • Applicants with experience as permanent employees must have a 6-month separation and HR approval to return as a traveler
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Requested time off must be submitted at time of application

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in hand; license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent, relevant home health occupational therapy experience
  • Proficiency with OASIS and HCHB required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation required
  • Timely communication and documentation required
