Commercial Litigation ParalegalLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Direct Hire Commercial Litigation Paralegal to work at a prominent Chicago law firm known for its expertise in various legal matters.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting and a comprehensive understanding of the Paralegal's role in the litigation process.
This individual will also play a vital role in mentoring and training other paralegals and practice assistants.
What our client needs you to do:- Assist attorneys in all stages of case preparation and management for commercial litigation and product liability matters.
- Manage and monitor court deadlines, maintain case calendars, and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
- Conduct online research using PACER, Westlaw, and other research tools.
- Draft pleadings, notices, motions, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with attorneys and clients to prepare for trials.
- Electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system.
- Provide guidance and support to junior paralegals and practice assistants.
What you must have:- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Compensation and Benefits: $95,000-$115,000 per year (depending on experience)
