Building Maintenance Technician

Adams County is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. The salary range for this position is $47,209.18 to $83,440.70 annually. The position is located in Brighton, CO and is a regular full-time job. The job number is 07098 and the department is Facilities & Fleet Management.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of semi-skilled to highly skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of County facilities, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting. The rate will include a $2.50 additional hourly stipend for Detention Center operations, and a $75 monthly shift differential for swing shift. This position will follow a 4 / 10's schedule working between the hours of 10am-midnight with Friday-Monday, Sunday-Wednesday, and Wednesday-Saturday shifts available.

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical requirements : standing and walking for extended periods of time, ability to lift and / or carry up to 50 pounds, ability to push and / or pull objects up to 75 pounds, ability to bend, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach overhead, twist, and ability to climb using a step stool or ladder. The candidate may also be required to work in hot or cold temperatures, exposed to extreme noise, work in confined spaces, and exposed to electrical and mechanical hazards, chemicals, dust, and other possible allergens.
