Systems Solution Architect (Houston)

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of VMware-based environments across the organization. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, develop architectural standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain VMware virtualization platforms, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related technologies.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade solutions for compute, storage, and networking within VMware environments.
• Develop and enforce architecture standards, policies, and best practices for virtualization and cloud integration.
• Collaborate with project teams and enterprise architects to ensure seamless system integration and operational handoff.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of virtualized infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance on disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve infrastructure flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for maintainability and compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for VMware technologies and mentor junior engineers as needed.
