Travel Nurse RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - $2,207 per week in Richmond, VA

License : Active nursing license required from a compact state. Certifications : BLS and NRP required. Must-Have : Epic charting experience required. Individuals with a minimum of 1 year of experience are required. Description : The role involves providing specialized care to neonates in a high-acuity setting. Candidates should have previous charge experience and familiarity with patient ratio management. The NICU unit is equipped to handle a wide array of neonatal conditions requiring medical interventions. Nurses will assist in various procedures, including ventilation management and administration of medications. Candidates must have experience with essential nursing skills including phlebotomy, thermoregulation, and IV management. Additional responsibilities include patient and family education, along with support for breastfeeding and handling of breast milk. It is important for candidates to demonstrate proficiency in collaborative care with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must also be prepared to float within scope as needed. A BSN is preferred, and individuals should be comfortable working with a diverse patient population including those born extremely premature.
