Experienced Welder & Fabricator

GS Steel, based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is seeking an experienced metal welder & fabricator to join our team. This is a full-time position with exceptional benefits. Essential Duties:

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to layout.

Follows all company safety guidelines

Operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters and other welding related tools as well as cranes, forklifts and various other shop tools and equipment.

Fabricate, weld, grind and burn a variety of types of metals.

Maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness daily

Set up components to be welded based on the requirements needed.

Skills & Requirements:

5 years of experience or better.

Strong fabrication background.

Strong welding skills.

Very proficient with MIG welding and some TIG experience.

Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on average. Overtime available.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure, knowledge of how to pull and calculate angles

Heavy Plate Fabrication Experience.

Proficient in Carbon Arc/Air Arc gouging

Strong initiative required & the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Positive communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Awareness when working around moving machinery.

Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, fumes and gases

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Valid Drivers License.
