A Day in the Life

Your shift starts with a quick safety huddle. You review the day’s prints, set up your work area, and get hands-on with manual machines. Throughout the day, you’ll check dimensions, make adjustments, and keep your station tidy so the next operator picks up right where you left off. When a machine makes an odd noise, you don’t ignore it—you troubleshoot, ask questions, and learn the why behind the fix.

What You’ll Do

• Run and monitor manual machining equipment to produce quality parts
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan your work
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with teammates to hit production targets and deadlines
• Support quality checks to verify that parts meet spec
• Follow safety standards and keep your area clean and organized
