Shift

CAD/Design Technician role responsible for developing manufacturing drawings and programming for millwork, fixture, and graphics projects. This hands-on position requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with the Engineering team.

Job Summary

Woodworker/Cabinet Builder: The role requires meeting quality standards and deadlines, with flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and design technical drawings for internal and external approval
Provide input and ideas for problem-solving
Analyze and coordinate field measurements to revise shop drawings
Annotate drawings with callouts for hardware, finishes, and assembly
Monitor project issues, scope changes, and variances
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and handoff meetings
Prepare and program machines for production
Participate in project design phases, prototyping, and sample testing
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize files on internal servers
Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

Strong background in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/CAM software
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and a team player
Self-motivated with excellent analytical and technical skills
Strong communication skills for clear and concise drawings
Knowledge of construction materials (fabrics, metals, plastics, woods, laminates, etc.)
Proficiency in: AutoCAD, ALPHACAM, Microsoft Office
Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign) a plus
Associate's Degree in Drafting or Design or 1-2 years' experience in a related field
Interpreting blueprints and shop drawings (not required but beneficial)
