Akkodis is seeking a Linux Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid) . Candidate must have expertise in managing and implementing Linux-based infrastructure, particularly for critical core components like databases, GRID computing, and enterprise job schedulers.

Rate Range : $58 / hour to $62 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Linux Engineer job responsibilities include :

Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure, supporting critical core components such as databases, GRID computing, enterprise job schedulers, and messaging platforms.

Monitoring application infrastructure, proactively addressing and resolving issues before they impact users.

Supporting release management, troubleshooting issues, and handling incident / problem management.

Assisting with migration projects related to servers, Active Directory, datacenters, and application upgrades.

Ensuring adherence to processes and maintaining operational efficiency in handling incidents and problem management.

Troubleshooting and identifying root cause prevention for production issues in a fast-paced environment.

Writing and maintaining scripts in Python, Shell, or Perl to support automation and operations.

Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Desired Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and infrastructure management.

Experience in managing enterprise-level Linux environments and IT infrastructure.

Strong scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or Perl for automation and troubleshooting tasks.

Pay Details : $58.00 to $62.00 per hour
