Location : Santa Fe Springs
Shift : First shift, starting at 7 : 30 AM with 10 hours of OT
Pay rate : $30.00-$35.00
Operational Admin
The Operational Admin acts as a centralized support hub for all departments—Production, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, HR, and Customer Service. Their mission is to absorb overflow work, eliminate bottlenecks, and keep cross-departmental processes running smoothly.
This role is especially valuable in manufacturing, where delays in one area can ripple across the entire production chain.
Core Responsibilities by Department
1. Production & Manufacturing
Prepare and distribute daily production schedules
Enter work orders and update job status in ERP / MRP systems
Track material shortages and escalate issues to Purchasing
Maintain digital and physical production documentation
2. Engineering & Product Development
Organize and update BOMs, drawings, and revision logs
Manage engineering change request (ECR) paperwork
Coordinate prototype scheduling and sample tracking
3. Sales & Customer Service
Enter sales orders and verify pricing / configurations
Prepare quotes using standardized templates
Track order status and communicate updates to customers
Assist with RFP responses and product data requests
4. Purchasing & Supply Chain
Create purchase orders and follow up on vendor confirmations
Maintain vendor records and update lead times
Track inbound shipments and flag delays
Reconcile packing slips and invoices for AP
5. Logistics & Shipping
Prepare BOLs, packing lists, and shipping labels
Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers
Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
Maintain shipping documentation for audits
6. HR & Administrative Support
Assist with onboarding paperwork and training schedules
Maintain employee files and compliance documentation
Support safety meeting documentation and incident logs
Coordinate companywide communications and announcements
Skills & Tools
Technical
ERP / MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Epicor, SAP Business One)
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Document control systems
Basic CAD viewer familiarity (not design—just navigation)
