JOB MISSION

YPIE is embarking on an exciting new opportunity to offer academic support, college readiness, and college access services on the campus of Dayspring Community Center in Yonkers. The Program Associate will provide the services listed in "Responsibilities and Results."

RESPONSIBILITIES & RESULTS

• Academic Tutoring
  
  • Provide academic support to ensure each student improves their academic skills in core subject areas
  • Develop and support academic intervention plans to both directly tutor students and foster self-advocacy so students identify and seek school support structures
• Program Administration & Recruitment
  
  • Manage student records and program logistics, communicating with key stakeholders to ensure seamless events and effective program implementation.
  • Leverage data to recruit students each year, proactively collaborating with district and non-profit partners to identify target students and deliver info sessions and presentations.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for consideration:

• Experience in teaching, program design, counseling, social work, or related field
• Experience with and commitment to ensuring equity for a diverse population of students
• Ability to navigate partnerships with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to make arrangements for daily travel/transitions between program sites
• Flexibility to work some evening and weekend hours as student needs arise
• Proven organizational and program tracking skills

JOB DETAILS

This position is based in-person across multiple program sites in Yonkers, NY. You will be designing and implementing a new program, so your schedule may vary.

Hours: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week, approx. 3-5 days/week)

Schedule: Will vary depending on student needs (you will have flexibility to build the program schedule) but schedule must include 3 days a week from 4:30 - 7 pm

Calendar: 10 months (September - June, with opportunity to work in July & August)

Location: Dayspring Community Center

Hourly Rate: $30-40/hour, depending on experience
