Who will you be working with?

The Engineering Project Leader will collaborate with PTC Engineering Managers and subject matter experts to develop and execute project plans.  This role also offers opportunities to work with the program teams and other technical Wabtec Business Units that are essential to achieving overall project deliverables.

How will you make a difference?

The Engineering Project Leader will manage multiple system and software project activities associated with the development and aftermarket maintenance support of Positive Train Control products and services to railroad customers. The position will be the primary point of contact with the engineering teams and cross company departments with responsibility for coordinating, managing and communicating internal project plans and status, managing software releases, and meeting R&D initiatives.  Engineering Project Leader will ensure services are completed on time, on budget and meet customer / sponsors requirements.

What do we want to know about you?

• College BS / BA degree required, with preference given to engineering, software fields, or business management areas of study.
• Must have knowledge of Systems / Software Project Management.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve continuous, process-driven improvement of technology-based systems
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely, tailored to audience.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills
• Ability to develop high level of credibility and strong positive relationships with subordinates, peers, and management.
• 10 - 15% travel requirement

The salary rate for this role is currently $89100-126900 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as : training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
