Role and Responsibilities :
Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the Data Collection Coordinator position as a Test Engineer with some travel. Duties include dedicated support for managing and coordinating data collection activities associated with AEGIS and BMD system testing. The position is located onsite at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, CA.
Position Duties :
- Either Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree and minimum of 4 years’ experienceor no degree with a minimum of 10 years technical experience supporting Navy systems experience.
- Develop and implement data collection (DC) plans to support AEGIS and BMD T&E activities including defining datacollection methodologies, identifying data requirements, and documenting data collection procedures.
- Design and develop DC tools, such as test scripts, data sheets, and electronic forms, to capture relevant data.
- Manage and coordinate DC activities during AEGIS and BMD T&E events, including scheduling, logistics, and personnel.
- Analyze and interpret collected data to identify trends and patterns and provide recommended system improvements.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of DC activities, including data sheets, test reports, and other documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior personnel on DC procedures and tools.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and program managers, to ensure that DC activities are aligned with program goals and objectives.
- Collect and forward shipboard data for event analysis.
- Maintain and track to completion all the Test Observation Reports (TORs) associated with the assigned T&E Project.
- Assist the Project Engineer / Project Officer with coordinating all test resources including people, assets, ranges, targets, and schedules to ensure successful completion of test events.
- Assist the Project Engineer / Project Officer to ensure in port and underway testing is conducted IAW prescribed test plans.
- Maintain liaison between the Shipboard personnel and test team regarding DC requirements and procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate applicable planning meetings associated with the assigned T&E Project.
- Must maintain documentation integrity for classified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and unclassified materials.
- Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of MS Word & MS Office Products and strong technical writing skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to travel.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
- Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.

Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships pier side and at-sea.
