At Howmet Aerospace in Winsted, CT, we’re looking for a Metrology-Focused Tooling Machinist to anchor our 2nd shift. If building, reworking, and certifying fixtures and gages to + / - .0002 is your comfort zone, we want to talk.

Your mission

• Own the full lifecycle of gages and fixtures—build, rework, certify.
• Hunt down root causes and resolve complex gage / fixture issues.
• Machine and grind precision details to print.
• Propose and implement design changes that improve reworkability and performance.
• Conduct surveillance and maintain gage certifications.
• Team up daily with Engineering and the Layout department; provide floor support.
• Keep the shop safe and spotless; uphold EHS and Quality commitments.
• Maintain certified toolmaker status; follow Employee Handbook policies; take on other duties as assigned.
