Project Manager, Community Partnerships – Muscular Dystrophy Association
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead complex, diverse projects across our Community Partnerships department, ensuring timely, on‑budget delivery and exceptional stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for successful delivery of complex projects including Distinguished Gala, Golf events, Muscle Walk, MDA Supported events, and other initiatives.
- Create & maintain comprehensive statements of work and project plans, defining scope, activities, deliverables and timelines.
- Confirm partnership agreements to meet sponsorship objectives and coordinate contracts, SOWs, and LOAs with finance.
- Evaluate business requirements, develop accurate functional and non‑functional requirements, and translate objectives into actionable project plans.
- Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, and risk assessments, including contingency plans and quality assurance controls.
- Lead stakeholder meetings, provide timely communication of status, issues, risks, and financials, and maintain dashboards for upper management.
- Foster inclusive project development, cultivate relationships with clients, partners, volunteer committees and donors, and support excellence and compliance.
- Propose process improvements based on retrospective insights and workflow analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of project management or equivalent experience.
- Proficient across platforms such as Better Unite, DonorDrive, Canva, digital and social media tools.
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
- Extensive vendor management and contract finance experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills.
- Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams in a results‑focused environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of project risk, finance and requirements management.
Salary Range
This position’s salary range is $55,000 – $60,000, with final offers determined by experience and other factors.
